AGM converter April 30, 2015, 06:39:21 pm Yahoo Message Number: 152507I noticed that BestConverter is recommending PowerMax Boondocker converters for AGM batteries. I just sent them a message asking why they are recommended this converter instead of a Progressive Dynamics converter. I'll post their answer later.Link recommending the PowerMaxLifeline AGM Batteries
Re: AGM converter Reply #1 – April 30, 2015, 06:41:37 pm Yahoo Message Number: 152508Very quick reply from BestConverterHi Bob It's mainly the higher boost voltage and feedback from customers in the field. We sell them to some of the manufactures as well. They also have the better warranty. Either would work however. Thanks and let me know if I can help. Randy

Re: AGM converter Reply #4 – May 01, 2015, 06:06:35 pm Yahoo Message Number: 152529That Li-Ion charger is interesting. Another piece of the puzzle. As soon as I can get a 200AH RV Li-Ion battery for 1000 bucks or less, which will fit into a LD battery compartment I will think about converting. That would nearly double my present capacity because our present 220AH flooded cell or AGM batteries should not be discharged more than 50%, which gives us effectively only 110AH to use. The Li-Ions can be discharged all the way down with no harm. Still there is the alternator and the solar controller to consider. How will they charge the Li-Ions?
