The weight is not much on the driveline on level ground. Going up hills is another story. While the toad weight is not on the truck chassis, the driveline can be stressed by the design criteria. There is no free lunch.I suspect that most every 31 towing is pushing the limits. I know of several that are used full-time with no apparent problems. Still, it's not a floor plan I would want to be in for the comfort of a bed that takes up so much space.As usual, my mileage always varies from the norm.
