Oil Change Recommendation

I know this is off-topic, but you folks have so much knowledge about engines, transmissions, etc. I wanted to get your input.  This vehicle used to be our tow vehicle when we had our motorhome.

I have a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 100,762 miles.  It is rarely driven.  Spends most of its time in the garage waiting patiently for something to do.  The garage stays above 50F year round.  The last lube/oil/filter at the Jeep dealer was in February 2014.

It is now March 2015, and the Jeep has only been driven 570 miles since the last service.  I know that service interval is based on time as well as mileage.  My question is, "Do I really need to have it serviced when it has been driven so few miles?"  I'm thinking maybe just an oil change and lubrication, and forget the filter.  I have to take it in for the recall on the trailer hitch, so might as well get some service done if it needs it.

You might want to check the air filter yourself to make sure nothing has nested in there.  If all is normal I would agree with not having that changed.
With respect to just changing the oil.  Oil filters are not that expensive.  The real problem is the engine just sitting accumulates water from the air.  That burns off when you go for a drive but with so few miles I would worry about the element inside the filter going bad.
I do not know if your Jeep has a cabin filter or not.  If it does take a look to make sure nothing has nested in there.  If all is clean, skip that part of the service.
When you first start out be sure to test the brakes a few times with some hard stops.  Needless to say do this before you get on the main highway.  All that sitting is not good for the brake pads.  They are more than likely ok, but the time to find out is not when something is coming at you.
