Towing cable fuse question March 18, 2015, 01:05:40 pm Yahoo Message Number: 151601I am not getting 12v power to the umbilical cable I use for towing my CR-V. No lights will work on the car. Testing the cable connection port at the rear of the LD shows no power. Does anyone know which fuse controls this towing cable port? And is it in the fuse box inside the LD or under the hood? I suspect it may be the ModuLite, something I've had trouble with before, but I want to start with fuses.Chris

No lights will work on the car."ChrisIf nothing is working at the toad, suspect a bad ground wire/circuit. There are several electrical events occurring in the toad, including tail lights and the tow brake. All require a good ground to operate.Larry
Re: Towing cable fuse question - answered Reply #2 – April 24, 2015, 03:24:32 pm Yahoo Message Number: 152415After testing all the fuses in the fuse distribution box under the hood ('02 31') and checking everywhere for current with a multi-meter, I exhausted my knowledge. The tech at the hitch shop (where my wiring was installed 13 yrs ago) found a mostly-hidden 20 amp mini fuse holder just to the left of the fuse distribution box (when facing the motor). It was tucked under the metal where the hood closes and was connected to an orange wire which eventually finds its way to the rear of the LD. I had called the Mothership and talked to Vince and asked him if there was a dedicated fuse for the umbilical cable connection at the rear of the LD and he mused it was in the fuse distribution box and might be #39. Disappointingly and uncharacteristically, it was not marked. The other rogue fuses under the hood such as radio and CB are tagged. Suffering nothing but frustration and gas expense for a trip to the hitch shop, I am now a happy camper. No charges at the hitch shop.Chris
