2006 IB 30'. I tried removing the valance in the bedroom which does not have side pieces to worry with. I removed every screw I could find and it still felt as though it was cemented to the wall. What am I missing?

You are missing some of the screws.
LD's workers install the valance with screw guns. Many times the head of the screws are sunk deeply into the wood, making locating and removing them exceptionally frustrating.
Expect more screws than what seem necessary.
The job is made even more difficult by the awkward angle one must assume at to even see where the screws should be located, up inside the valance, at the ceiling

In some installations Philips Head screws are used, on other 1/4' hex head screws requiring the use of a nut-driver.

Removing and replacing valance isn't one of my more favorite projects, it's hard on the neck.
