TV antenna crank fell apart

I'm camped in Fl. The set screw to the tv antenna must have loosened. The handle, a spring and direction plate fell to the floor.  I was able to reassemble everything.
The antenna was up when this happened.  Now it will only partly collapse to traveling position.  A little lower than the top of the AC cover.  Turning the handle no longer motivates the antenna to go up or down.
I can work inside but am not mobile enough to be on the roof.

I forgot to say the rv is a 2007 MB.
Also when the crank stopped working it just feels like it was not locked up like a cycle that was bouned, but spun free like a gear was not in contact with the next cog. Like a trans in nuteral

John, unfortunately I don't have a do-it-yourself answer, but if you'd like to call a mobile RV service we've had excellent experiences with Keith from Keith's Mobile Service at 321/433-8133.  He's out of Cocoa; don't know if he'll go to Long Point, but maybe you can meet at one of the County beaches...the ones in our Melbourne Beach area are generally not so crowded as those in Indian Harbor Beach or Indialantic.

Tina,

In the light today things look a little better, maybe.
On the roof my brother gently pushed down on the antenna and it snapped into place. (At the time of my first post I was not sure my brother would be able to help me as he has a flight home today.) Inside the RV, I got a better look at the handle and it's a bit chewed up inside.  The setscrew is still in place.  I put a set of pliers on the post that held the handle and the post did not wand to turn with gentle pressure.
Overall it looks like a job for someone who knows more than I do. But at least with the antenna properly stored away I am not afraid to drive.
