Remove Microwave Oven From 1989 '26

I am having a problem figuring out how to remove my non working microwave. It is installed over the stove with a fan and light unit under the microwave, It looks like I need to remove the fan/light unit to gain access to the underneath part of the microwave. Has anyone done this?

Well, JS, it's not that bad at least on an '05 MB.  It's a mater of 2 Phillips screws to take off the panel below and 2 screws on the panel above the Dometic (bur made by LG) microwave.  And, it just slides out.  You need to unplug it first, of course.  No connection to the lights below it.
