Refrigerator - at least the freezer works! November 11, 2014, 08:29:54 am Yahoo Message Number: 149433After seven months of storage in Arizona, my LD looks pretty good and so far everything works, thank heaven. But although the freezer works great, the refrigerator doesn't get cold! I can't find this in the conversation search, so would appreciate any tips. I'm currently on shore power at the SKP park, will look go look for help today. Thanks! Kristin

Re: Refrigerator - at least the freezer works! Reply #2 – November 11, 2014, 12:46:36 pm Yahoo Message Number: 149445Kristin....Your refrigerator was working fine. The heat from the freezer section needed to be absorbed first before there was a sufficient amount of the refrigerant mixture left to begin absorbing heat from the refrigerator section. As you found out, after it had time to stabilize, it worked fine. It's also a good idea to periodically run the refrigerator, even while in storage. Unlike your refrigerator in your home, there are no moving parts, like the compressor in your home unit, so there is no worry about wearing anything out.Don

It's nice to understand how it actually functions. It would be good to run everything periodically when the rigs are in storage, but it's pretty hard to do when they're more than 3000 miles away! Thankfully Lazy Dazes seem to be tough enough to survive anyway. (Fingers crossed.)Kristin

Reply #4 – November 12, 2014, 12:25:50 pm Yahoo Message Number: 149476A freezer that works with a refrigerator that stalls is also a symptom of a dirty burner. I had the same trouble a couple years ago with intermittent refrig trouble. A simple burner assembly cleaning by a reputable service center (I use Laurelhurst Distributors in Portland) remedied the problem.Charlie Gandalf the Grey '99 MB
