City water dust cover replacement August 26, 2014, 09:24:54 pm Yahoo Message Number: 148203The soft plastic or ruber dust cover that came with our o7 mid bath is about shot. It still covers and held on for the round about trip fm VA to FL and back but the ring the holds it to the RV is shot. I tried my local RV store but they did not have a replacement. I also looked on the camping world web site with no joy. Perhaps I am using the wrong name. When talking to RV stores or looking on line what name do I use for the part? If all else fails I'm sure I can go to the hardware store and figure out a PVC solution but if someone has figured a do it yourself solution I would welcome direction. John DaCrema 07 mid bath

Many of us have discarded opaque covers in favor of mesh covers, because the latter block up to 90% of heat but still admit plenty of light, making the front of one's coach much brighter and more cheerful. They also provide complete privacy during the day, while still letting you see out the windshield--another big plus. It's definitely worth considering a mesh windshield cover as an alternative to the factory's dark and gloomy cover, in my opinion.Andy BairdTravels with Andy

Re: City water dust cover replacement Reply #4 – August 27, 2014, 12:33:49 am Yahoo Message Number: 148211OK, now I feel really dumb... I somehow failed to read the subject line and thought you were talking about the windshield cover, John. Hmmm... I wonder if there's a way I can blame this on Yahoo? Yes, that's it--I was confused by the way the Neo forum redesign rearranged everything. That'll be my excuse. ;-)Well, I hope the information will be useful to somebody else. And thanks to Art for coming up with the right answer, after I offered the wrong one.Andy BairdTravels with Andy

I replaced it with a winterizing blow-out plug from Camping World, and it is easier to use than the rubber cover and has lasted well: http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/blow-out-plug/4410 HTHBarry
