Paul. Art Bergreen detailed how to replace the light above the stove with  5000K color SMD LED's back in August 4, 2013. You can see it at   http://www.berggreen.org/LD/stove_LED.html    . I did it and it worked very well. The link to ebay then has expired but they  are still available, less expensive than what I paid last year. Try    http://www.ebay.com/itm/9-12-15-20-24-36-48-SMD-Light-Panel-Interior-Bulb-T10-BA9S-Adapter-Dome-Lamp-12V-/130912588085?pt=US_Light_Bulbs&var=&hash=item1e7aff9135#ht_11157wt_960.   About $3.41 recently. Hope this came out correctly. Thanks to Art.   RonB

Paul originally  asked for a warm white bulb. While Art's conversion is an excellent one, it produces a much hotter, 5000K, whitish-blue light.  For those who prefer a warm- white light color, you may be disappointed using a 5000K or hotter  bulb.. Find bulbs that produce warm white, which is in the 2700-3000K range. At 4000K, the light starts looking white, adding more white and then blue, at the temperature rises http://www.lightbulbsdirect.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/colortemp_chart2.jpg Any good LED sales site should list a LED's color and lumen output  .
There are so many LED products on the market, it's impossible to keep up with all of them.
