Light kit and wiring for TOAD

Looking to wire up my '02 CR-V toad. Is this product worth the extra price over a standard diode kit? TowDaddy™ Wiring Harness  http://www.towdaddy.com/products.htm

Also, I plan on replacing the 4-pin on my '95LD with a 7-pin and going with a 6-pin on the CR-V. This should allow room not only for the lights but also to run a charge line from the MH to the TOAD.

Learning as I go here...thanks.

I have not used it but have heard good reports on another forum about the TowDaddy.  Simple installation and no reported problems.

Your CR-V probably has empty reflectors at the bottom of the tail lights where rear fog lights would go.  It is very easy to install bulbs there and wire them directly to the LD connector so that no diodes are needed.  Blue Ox and others make a kit for this.  The wires can be run from the engine compartment up thru the channels on top where a roof rack would be connected and then down to the tail light assembly.  That makes for a very easy wire run on the CR-V.

********* I do not know why LD uses that 4 pin plug. It is outdated as tube tires.
The best and most used is the Bargman trailer plug. The Bargman is a BLADE  type plug. It comes in both 6 and 7 pin and they are interchangeable. The  difference is that the 6 pin does not have the center pin. It is the only plug  that I have used since 1960. And now there are several company that make the  same plug and they are interchangeable from one company to the other. Changing  the plug was the first thing I did when I got the MH. If you check the Internet  you will find that there is a standard way of wiring a plug. So you buddies  trailer plug will be wired the same as yours if he used the Bargman style plug.  A good place it get information on towing is:   WWW.ETRAILER.COM  They also sell parts.
For those that have electric brakes Ford did run the wire from the cab to the  rear of the frame. On my unit LD enclosed the frame work where the wires are and  I was not able to get at the wire for BRAKES so I had to run a new wire.
There are 7 wires that you may need.
