need to replace wash basin faucet in 04 RB

The mothership tells me that a leaking wash basin faucet should simply be replaced, rather than repaired.  If so, is there a particularly popular/recommended replacement faucet that I should install?  Thanks--Ted

Replaced ours in our '83 FL, then transferred that one over to our '04FL. What I used is a bar faucet with two knobs, and an arcing spigot that pivots to the side, so it is not in the way when using the basin to wash up. It works great, and also is used to attach our faucet-mount Pur filter when in camp (quick-disconnect).

We replaced the bathroom fixture in our '05 RB with what appears to be the same one Steve referred to. It wasn't a very difficult  job - the hardest part was freeing the old one from its mounting and removing all the old sealant. Here's a picture of the new faucet.

Our original bathroom faucet started leaking just after a few years. Removed it, to match the pipe fittings (4" centers), took it to Lowes and found a nice Delta, about $60.

 LD glues the faucets to the sinks well, sometimes too well. I use a thin, flexible 1" putty knife, with rounded corners (to prevent gouging), to work under the faucet's base, cutting through the sealant.
If you enjoy this, try removing an LD's kitchen sink.

I'd like to replace the faucet on the washbowl, but the faucet in my TK is the one with the shower diverter in/on the faucet; any suggestions?

Thank you all for your suggestions on hardware and installation--especially fhe heads up on how to remove the old one.  It will minimze frustration with the glue/sealant.  Much appreciated.  Ted
