Where is the old for sale template?  I've been away for a while and y'all have changed the site beyond my superannuated technical skills.  Also, I need to replace the wiring in the brass reading lamps of my '99 30' IB.  Any suggestion?  Alternatives?

"Where is the old for sale template?"

Same place it always was: in Files > Buying & Selling > FOR SALE - Lazy Dazes. Just scroll down the list till you see it--I no longer have a way to force the template to the top of the list. These interface changes, by the way, were shoved down our throats by Yahoo--we had no choice in the matter.

Super duty Air Lift Kit

Hi,
We've been reading through the manual and paperwork from the former owners of our 1983 Lazy Daze 22' and one of the things we found was they purchased a super duty air lift kit for the RV, can anyone explain what it is.
We are brand new to RVing and this is our first RV.  The two owners before us took excellent care of the RV and interior is in excellent shape.  We also got a pleasant surprise when our mechanic informed us that the engine has really low mileage so it looks like it spent a lot of time parked.

The 'air lift kit' for the Chevy G30 that you refer to is probably this:

http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/shop_parts/air_leveling_kit/chevy/g30.html

You might want to crawl under the rig and look to see if the air bags are actually installed and the hoses intact; the 'paperwork' might show that a kit was purchased and most likely installed, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's still on the rig.  The bags and fittings may have been removed if a previous owner didn't feel that they were functioning as s/he expected.

Also, just an FYI: a rig which has 'sat' unused may have 'low' mileage, but this not necessarily a good thing; components and systems, including engine, brake, suspension, tires, belts, seals, etc. deteriorate much more quickly on a 'sitting' rig than they do on one which is used and well-maintained. I suggest checking very carefully, inside and out, for worn components and roof/window leaks.

I'd be the first to admit I don't do well waiting ......
Just got the VIN from Todd in the mail.
Only have one question ..... What is the 'normal' wait time till said RV is finished?

I don't think there is a 'normal' wait time; wait times have varied from about 4-7 or more months, depending on several variables.  Your best bet would be to get an approximate ETA from Todd. ;-)

Just a reference,  we got Todd's letter with the VIN for ouron 10/7/13 31 IB  with a guestamated timeframe of Feb/Mar.   I talked with him earlier this week and the time is now March....  Don't want to hurry them, quality over schedule works for us.

The ealier LDs, built on the Chevy G-30 chassis had weak springs. Many of these LDs had a air-bag lift kit installed on the rear axle to combat sagging of the leaf springs.  I installed them on our 1983 LD and also tried air bags in the front coil spring. The rears works great to level and stabilize the rear. With separate air lines and a optional air compressor, you can use the rear air bags for minor leveling. The front air bags had very short lifespans, with each of two sets lasting only a year or so before developing leaks..not recommended. To offset the weak front springs, I had custom coil springs made.

Make sure the cooling system is in top condition, overheating is the major cause of engine failure in the old G-30 LDs. The cooling system does not have much reserve capacity
Consider installing a transmission temperature gauge to use along with the engine's coolant temperature.

Happy RVing.

No Prob, Andy.  As of this weekend I feel like Yahoo has shoved something into a different one of my orifices.  What a screwed up outfit for a bunch of billionaires.  Reminds me of Congress.
