(If you don't have a 'fn' key, an alternative triggering method can be chosen in System Preferences > Dictation & Speech.)On an iPad or iPhone, just tap the microphone key to the left of the spacebar and start talking.I often use the dictation feature when I'm tired. It's a 2008 Mac although it is up-to-date with the very latest OS systems so I appreciate the tip I'll keep on using that in the future thank you again. Just used dictation. Chris
