Tire Outlet, San Jose, CA, shout-out

Over a year ago, I had my rig's 6 Michelin LTX M+S tires replaced with new ones of the same specs at Tire Outlet (South 2nd St.) in San Jose.  Last night, I received a call from Javier, the manager, asking if I was aware of the recall and, if the DOT codes on my tires indicated that they were within the recall, to please bring the rig in as soon as possible to have the tires replaced. I said that my tires were outside of the recall dates, but thanked him for his diligent customer service! I chose this tire shop originally because I'd dealt with too many clueless tire shops over the years, and this one had many positive reports. I was satisfied with the tires and the replacement job. But, any questions of liability aside, I was frankly surprised that a shop manager would actually make a follow-up phone call; this is a shop which obviously grasps the concept (and value) of 'customer service', and I believe that this attitude needs to be acknowledged!

So, if anybody in the south Bay Area - or beyond - needs tires, s/he might want to head for the Tire Outlet in SJ and talk to Javier.

Joan, I also received my phone call from Tire Outlet yesterday.  Unfortunately, I did not check the manufacture date as closely as you have instructed us to do.  2 of the six tires get replaced.  Tire Outlet taking care of all details.  Nothing but positive for this business.
