Lazy Daze Sighting......Class A!

Sitting at the WalMart in Fernley NV.  Noticed accross the lot and in the intersection was a beige, LD class A.  I had only heard of them and never seen one.  My understanding is there were only two or so built. They were towing a Cherokee or somethig like it on a trailer and heading South towards Fallon.  They were moving along about 60 or so and I did catch up to look it over but I couldn't take a picture as I was alone in my truck.  Had the rear section of a MB and a center section like a RB.  Looked like NV plates.  This was about 11:30 AM on Saturday, 11/23/13.  If anyone farther South sees them, maybe you could get a picture or better yet, find out some history from the owners.  If it is yours, and you see this, please check in.

Check the page below on my Flickr site, it has photos of LD's Class A .

Looked like the same model and color.  It was a little rough but it was towing an SUV on a trailer at 60+.

I wasn't aware that Lazy Daze ever built any Class A coaches.  On November 4 I was at the Mothership to acquire a few repair parts.  It was lunch time and there was absolutely no activity in the plant.  There were 4 or 5 rigs parked in the area where Vince keeps the units being serviced.  There were only two new Ford chassis on the lot.  Only one of the "paint bays" was occupied.  There were no "in process" units parked in the aisles.  There were only 3 rigs on the showroom floor (there were 5 last may), but they may be selling off the 2013 demos.
In the building that is at the far end of their plant I could see the front of a Class A.  It was an older unit and appeared to be undergoing body work and masking for paint.  The front end of this rig looked just like the LD Class A in the picture that Larry posted.

Anyone know what year LD produced the Class As.

There are no Class As listed in Andy's " Changes by the year" app.

As far as I know, only one prototype was built, and that was in 1986--the one shown in Larry's photos. If anybody has more authoritative information, I'd love to hear about it. :-)

Hi:  We ordered our first Lazy Daze in 1986 thru Paul.  Her took us on a tour of the factory and showed us the prototype Class A they were building.  It was all framed and they were working on the inside.   The one we ordered was a little over $30K and Paul told us they were hoping to build a Class A that they could sell for under $50K.   When we came back a few months later to pick ours up I asked about the Class A and was told they only built one.   Too bad...it would have been a nice addition.  Paul also told us that day that they were going to buy the lot next door and start taking used Lazy Daze motorhomes in trade and start a sales lot.  Never happened, but also would have been a great idea.     Good to hear that the 1986 Class A is still on the road.    Gale
