Re: New Yahoo - What to do - How to trim the messages Reply #2 – November 18, 2013, 07:53:24 am Yahoo Message Number: 143677After clicking on the reply button to open the text box you will notice three dots in the bottom left corner. Click on the dots to open the text. The "conversation" you are replying to can be deleted. Seems to work best for me if I do it at the start. Don't understand why it would be different than deleting after typing my bit but sometime I have to start over as I need to delete my txt as well as the txt I am replying to.Yes the new YaHoo is peculiar.John

It's sort of like an Easter egg hunt, you have to look under things. http://www.lazydazeowners.com/A new topic is easy. From the home page click "Conversations" and on the right side of the new page, 2/3rds up, you will see "New topic". You will also find it on the "Messages" page http://www.lazydazeowners.com/The new Yahoo is a way of weeding out those who can't tolerate one more major software change, this one got me a little bit closer.Larry

Thanks for asking, Roger. When you reply, you'll usually see three black dots at the bottom of the text box you're typing into. Those dots represent the previous message. If you click them, they'll expand to show you its full text. Once you've done that, you can select and delete it. Like a lot of things that Yahoo has done lately, this is completely non-obvious. You just have to learn it and memorize it. It's not the way I designed software when I was doing that for a living... but I'm just an old fart. ;-)Andy Bairdhttp://www.andybaird.com/travels
