The drivers side rear tail light is dim and the blinker does not work when the head lights are on. The mechanic said they should be replaced but dont know where to purchase the entire assembly beacuse the tailights seem to be riveted.

Your trail light  problems may be electrical and not  the tail lights themselves. Verify the voltage at the tail lights, a 22 year old MH can develop a lot of poor connections or dirty sockets.

If the cans or sockets are too corraded or rusted, consider replacing all four with LEDs. They are very resonably priced, compared tojust a few years ago when they were an expensive upgrade.
Terry Tanner's Technoz site has detailed instructions on replacing older LD tail lights with LEDs, check in the "Files".

Your LD would use 4" Round,  Run/Turn/Stop LED Flange-mount tail lights.

I had a similar issue with my Chevy. Pulled all 6 lenses off, took a scotchbrite pad (or similar) and cleaned the bulb sockets. Then sprayed with Corrosion X and installed all new bulbs across the back. I put a small bead of silicone on the surface that the lens presses up against (O-rings were basically toast) to prevent any future water or moisture from getting into the lights. They've been bright and working great ever since.
