Help wanted..... Mid bath Lazy Daze
Yahoo Message Number: 143180
My Dear Team After an endless search for the elusive mid bath lazy daze I find myself in a crazy maze, frustrated and tired. My predicament is that I have a budget of around 30k and with that I can only look for pre owned rigs, however there is nothing available  for sale. I would really appreciate if somebody could please let me know if any of the group members wants to sell . I can assure you I will take very good care of your baby. This request is especially directed towards the people who have stored and moth balled their rigs in a storage :) Best Regards.

Raj

Raj, we understand your frustration; most of us have been through it. It's not unusual for it to take a few months, a year or even longer to find the perfect rig. A few suggestions: if you haven't already, take a look at the files in our "Buying & Selliing" folder that suggest places to look for used LDs. One of them is right here; I see that there's a 1995 midbath that fits your budget listed in our "For sale" folder. Keep watching that folder, and the other websites (such as RVTrader) that list used rigs. Check Craigslist. Cast as wide a net as possible.

And be patient. :-) Sooner or later the coach you're looking for will turn up.

Thanks Andy, I did look at the 1995 MB but it has a E350 engine. I think for a 27' footer E450 will be the best. What's your take Best regards Raj

The terms E350 and E450 have to do with the chassis, not the engine.

If you're planning to become a full-time RVer, the E450 chassis is preferable to the E350 simply because of its substantially higher cargo capacity.

But engines are a completely separate issue. As the Lazy Daze Pocket Guide will tell you, from 1997 onward both E350 and E450 chassis had the reliable and powerful V10 engine.

I see where the confusion arose--the for-sale ad for that 1995 midbath in Camarillo actually does say "Engine: E350." Well, for the record, that chassis and year had a 460 c.i.d./7.6 liter V8 engine with electronic fuel injection. My impression is that the V10 is more desirable, but I'm not an engine expert--others here can give a better idea of the pros and cons.

The biggest thing is....the 350 chassis is a 11k GVW, the 450 (or "Superduty") is a 14k GVW. Either engine is man enough for a 26/27' motorhome.
