As I said I have notified Mike that his email has been hacked.  He has asked that anyone who has done business with him, or contacted him in the past, to please send him another email because he wants to restore his contact list.

"He has asked that anyone who has done business with him, or contacted him in the past, to please send him another email because he wants to restore his contact list." ---- I'm probably missing something, but if Mike's email account has been hacked, and that address is the only one that Mike's clients have for him, how does re-sending one's own email contact information *to the hacked account* protect the senders' email addresses and restore his contact list?
 AFAIK, if one's email address is hacked, changing passwords on that account doesn't necessarily help; one needs to establish a new email account.
