Stopped by the Mothership yesterday

They had two on display. A 2013 24 TK and a 2013 27 MB. We have a '95TK and are debating going bigger and newer. Anyway...some observations...first what we liked about the 27:

  • The increased ample storage
  • The bathroom is so much more room than on the 24
  • The legendary LD interior build
What struck us as "off" was the front passenger seat and cushions comfort. The passenger seat is limited in it's recline as it interferes with the kitchen bench seat. We did not realize this with the 27 MB. Also, the first thing we noticed sitting down on the coach cushions were that they are as hard as bricks! Wow...I wonder if they would consider using a softer under-foam if we ordered a new one? I thought the memory foam would have made them feel softer.

Overall the width has increased 5" and that makes the 24 feel much larger than ours.

So here we are...not quite ready to take the "big plunge" but headed that way for sure...LOL.

I have the  24' with the front dinette and you are right about the front seat being in the  way of the dinette barrel seat. But the first thing you learn to do when you  make camp is to move the cot pick seat all the way forward and problem  resolved.

Too bad they didn't have a Rear Bath on display - you could have seen that both driver and passenger cab seats can recline further back.
And if you want a large bathroom, the Front Lounge or Rear Bath have the Twin King and Mid Bath beat hands down.
