Toilet Ball Valve maintenance September 02, 2013, 05:26:32 pm Yahoo Message Number: 142451I've read that I should spray the ball valve with "Pledge" to keep in from drying out. Any other toilet maintenance tips I should be aware of? I have an old spray pump bottle of pledge that does not say "NO WAX" but when shopping for a new bottle I noticed they all say "NO WAX" and come in aerosol cans. My assumption is that the "NO WAX" formula isn't going to do the trick. Any suggestions? Am trying to be as proactive as possible to avoid unnecessary maintenance surprises on our 10 week trip! Each time we complete a "maintenance surprise" we say, ahhhh..... That should be it for awhile. Can anyone relate?Todd '99 RB and '02 Honda CRV

I dose the toilet regularly (not weekly, but probably monthly) with the vinegar and let it sit for an hour or so. If the toilet drains while you're waiting, repeat a time or two. Really, it works! As for the Pledge/furniture wax treatment, I don't spend a lot of time on that, but probably should.TinaP 2006 MB[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
