Water fill too slow
Yahoo Message Number: 142159
Hi Randy. I don't know about your '88 model, but it should be similar to my '99TK. The water fill hose is about 1 1/2" diameter and about 2 feet long into  the tank. My tank is under the kitchen window against the wall, just under the  fill opening. You should be able to see any kinks or blockages in the fill hose.  There is a small 3/8" flexible plastic hose coming from the tank to the fill  opening. The outlet of this hose is visible when the fill door is open, in  the lower right corner. Mine has a fine mesh brass screen.
This is a vent line  to let air into the tank as you use water, and vents air out of the tank while  water is going in during filling. If it were plugged up I could see it  being more difficult to fill the tank quickly. You should feel air coming  out of that hole while you are trying to fill. I can put 40+ gallons into my  tank in less than 3 minutes. Hope this helps. RonB
