Sewer outlet question August 18, 2013, 06:14:43 pm Yahoo Message Number: 142099We are happy owners of our "new" to us 2000 30' IB LD. But, we have a question. We are experienced RV'ers - having had several flavors over the last 30 years. But, we've never seen a sewer outlet connection done like this. Ours is tilted up - so you have to connect with a 90 degree connection so it will drain down. Is this supposed to be like this?

Does not go too far but it does give you some flexibility.Bob in FL__ From: mteleck jandmteleck@...> To: lifewithalazydazerv@yahoogroups.com Sent: Sunday, August 18, 2013 6:14 PM Subject: [LD] Sewer outlet questionWe are happy owners of our "new" to us 2000 30' IB LD. In other words, your sewer pipe empties straight down, right, so you would have to connect a fitting such as this http://tinyurl.com/lmf2kxo if you wanted the hose to be straight (horizontal to the ground)? I have an '02 30'and I just hook the hose right to the sewer pipe, a hose like this http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/ez-coupler-bayonet-sewer-kit-20/27864 and the hose bends at the top and then I extend it to the sewer dump opening. I still use the original hose which came with the new LD.Chris H
Re: Sewer outlet question Reply #3 – August 18, 2013, 08:09:17 pm Yahoo Message Number: 142105Bob is correct in that you have some room to rotate the outlet. Don't be afraid to twist it a little. On my 2002 30' I also added a clear plastic extension (Camping World) that has about a 45 degree angle which makes hooking up the dump hose easier, and you can see when the flush water is clear. You can leave it in place and just remember that it's there and be somewhat careful parking, etc., and you won't have a problem with hitting anything.

If you leave it on permanently, you put a cap on it when not in use, right?Chris H
Re: Sewer outlet question Reply #5 – August 18, 2013, 11:43:40 pm Yahoo Message Number: 142111Congrats on the LD.. On my 2000 30 IB it comes out straight and I put a 90° clear elbow (towards the rear) and added a short (2') slinky, just enough to go through the 'drop down' door.Jerry

It's good to know this isn't unique to us - we actually had wondered if the previous owner(s) had done some weird mods. We're taking all your input and fixing. Thanks again!
