For Sale Ad Disappeared

I just realized that my For Sale ad is no longer listed. Are they deleted after a certain period of time? I'm wondering how long it has been gone, and if that's why I didn't get any response.
 It doesn't matter I guess, since I was going to delete the ad anyway. I have given the motorhome to a consignment lot, since no one contacted me through this site.

 Yup. As explained in the "How to post a For-Sale ad" document, "Any ad older than 30 days will be deleted. Of course, if your coach hasn't sold in that time, you're free to repost your ad--perhaps with a reduced price."
 Actually, I tend to leave the ads in place for about three months... sometimes longer, if I get lazy and forget to do the regular housecleaning. ;-) But they will be deleted sooner or later. Otherwise we'd have two- or three-year-old listings piling up, and that would just frustrate people looking for a rig.

 I guess I forgot that part. I did reduce the price and re-post it once. I guess Lazy Daze does not hold its re-sell value as well as I thought. It sounds like others have had trouble selling theirs too, from what I've heard/read.
 I'm happy to let the consignment lot sell it. Less time and hassle for me that way.

For what it's worth, we just sold a 2003 32' New Horizons fifth wheel in excellent condition for 25% off NADA. Took one year to find a buyer. We had thought a five star rated New Horizons would, number one sell faster and number two sell closer to the NADA.
 In today's market, with the economy, one has to be patient. We had thought of placing it under consignment, but after reading the fine print, decided to sell it ourselves. Have you considered placing an ad with RVTrader?
 Good luck. Someone out there might just be looking for a rig just like yours.

Depends on what you are selling WHERE (remember "location, location, location"). I sent my Hitch Hiker 32.5 to Midland, TX, one day and I have a NADA offer !

In the eBay era, NADA is as relevant as print classified ads are in the Craigslist era. (Or, for that matter, fixed landlines in the iPhone era.)
 If anyone would like to get a great education on what actually sells, in terms of type, brand, overall demand (ie bids & bidders) and price, well, you can't really do any better than reviewing both open auctions & completed listings @ eBay.
 It's a real eye-opener to see the discount on NADA valuations (25-50% are the norm) on completed transactions. That is, the 1 out of 6/7 that are actually sold and weren't otherwise terminated due to failing to meet a pre-established reserve.
 For example, I had no idea those little Toyota Dolphins are in such high demand. They seem rarer than LDs, but when they come up for sale, they generate a lot of action, and realize surprising prices for fairly old(er) vehicles.
 Likewise, you can clearly see the huge dearth of interest in a wide range of generic RVs that draw little or no bids, regardless of price, and seemingly sink away with no regard.

I haven't placed my ad yet for my 1982 rear lounge 22' model as I just got it back from the shop where for $1600 I got new brake lines, rear brakes, and muffler work completed. Having the brakes go out while sitting in the driveway was the last straw for me as we regularly drove it over hwy 17 between sunnyvale and santa cruz, ca and had that happened on that mountain road it would have been scary.
 At my age, 70, I've become averse to risk taking and have decided to upgrade to a newer vehicle and one that gets better gas mileage like a Roadtrek. If anyone is interested in a vintage Lazy Daze I'd be glad to rehome this vehicle to you. I have a lot more money in it than it will ever sell for but will entertain any reasonable offers. OTOH if someone just intends to low ball me forget it. Time is on my side. I'm not desperate by any means.
 I have free parking, the engine runs strong, it doesn't leak and I haven't found a replacement yet. Once I get all my belongings out I'll clean it up and post some photos with the ad. Some challenges are where do I put all the stuff that was in it and what should I leave with it. These things grow on you and it's hard to let go.
 I'm in Sunnyvale, Ca. A search of my posts to the list will pretty much cover the various things I've done to it over the years since 2006 when we bought it. I plan on listing it here, and on craigslist, and ebay if it hasn't sold. Or I'll just put a for sale sign in the window. Someone will buy it, they always do. If I had an acre somewhere I'd consider just parking it as it makes a fine office. Now it's in the driveway.
