26 RB - Where to Put TV
Yahoo Message Number: 141774
I'm looking for suggestions on where to either mount a TV. A stand is ok but permanent mounting is preferable. I have a 12V outlet between the captain chairs in the front which the sofa faces. I guess a cabinet may make a solid mount for a tv but I don't know how permanent I can make it if I can't strongly secure during travel.
BTW, I don't have a good history with inverters - they are generally more pain that they are a benefit to me. Do you have any current model 12v TV you recommend? 19-22 inches is fine. Bigger is fine too if I can figure out how to mount it!

Any suggestions and especially photos appreciated!

Matt

In our '04 FL, I mounted a large soft-sided briefcase to the wall behind the barrel chair next to the outlets. I essentially stand the tv on the table by the window for use, then invert it into the case behind the chair for travel. I keep all the cords attached with cord clamps at each end, so "setup and tear-down" are fast.

Oh, and our TV is a 22" Vizio that can be powered from 12V. Note that few models are spec'd for running from a vehicle electric system, even if powered from a 12VDC brick. Your best bet is to search RECENT posts here from folks who bought a particular model and used it successfully - such a model might still be current.

I assume this is in an older model? Ours is mounted in the corner behind the passenger seat. We use a vertical TV stand attached to the underside of the overhead bin. It is reenforced inside the bin. We have a 120v Samsung, its a 22 or 24 inch.
