I also checked power consumption and as I recall the Sony I bought drew about 10 watts. It is hooked up to my TV via HDMI cable and works great. It is powered through a 150 watt pure sine inverter located near the TV. On my motorhome this inverter is my source of 120 V for the DVD player and small battery charging for phones, etc.
