Mesa, actually. It's on Craigslist. I went to see it. Low miles, fairly clean. 2 problems I could see:
1) water damage around the passenger side window in cabover. Musty smell in the storage  pod alerted me to this.
2) NO generator
How does an RV get sold without a generator? Dang.
So how BIG are these problems? Also this is a Chevy 350 motor. 8 mpg?  I know, I know, we don't buy these for the mpg....
Would the  manual windows drive me crazy now that I am spoiled with power everything in my other rigs?
Who just traded this for a 30 ft Lazy Daze??  Someone who was in Florida and drove all that way to trade. Just wondering if I could get some history on The 22. The dealer is being somewhat coy. I don't think  they saw the water damage because the rest of it looks so good.
BTW, I LOVE this floor plan. It is so different. You don't get the panorama rear view, but you do get both a dinette and a sofa, OR a permanent bed? The only drawback I see is you are sleeping VERY close to the toilet..... Or a long way from it, if using the loft bed.
Am I the only person who "gets up" at least once in the night....?  Or do I need to stop drinking fluids at 6 pm? ??? :-)

Any advice on this rig re 1991 CHEVY,  water damage, no generator?

"How does an RV get sold without a generator?"
It was an option in Lazy Dazes until sometime in the late 90s, when it became standard. (Anybody know what year that was?) My 1985 didn't have one either, and boy, did I miss it!
"Would the  manual windows drive me crazy now that I am spoiled with power everything in my other rigs?"
You're only talking about the cab windows. How much time do you spend driving, compared to the time you spend in the "house" part of the coach? It doesn't seem like a big deal to me, but I'm not you.
On the other hand, the water leakage and damage in the overcab could potentially be a very big deal. I'll let the members who have repaired that kind of thing address this; suffice it to say that repairs can be expensive and time-consuming. How are your carpentry skills?

"Also this is a Chevy 350 motor. 8 mpg?"
Yup, that's about the size of it. But if it's a 1991, at least it has fuel injection. The old carbureted Chevy 350s really, really didn't like altitude changes! I know--I owned one. Fuel injection was a big improvement.
"Am I the only person who 'gets up' at least once in the night....?"
Not hardly. Some of us have to get up three or four times. You adapt to it, more or less... it just means you have to spend an extra hour or so in the sack in order to get the same amount of sleep as a younger person. :-)

I have to chuckle over this question.  When we bought our 1975 Lazy Daze (delivered in 1976) and started attending the rally's, I can remember that of all the LD's at the rally, there was only one with a generator.  It was owned by a square dance caller, and he installed it himself.  I also remember one rally where we were asked to bring ice cream makers.  We must have had at least a half dozen of them making ice cream, and all running off that one guy's generator.  Back then, a generator in a motor home was a real rarity.

Our '93 22' MP didn't come with a generator, ladder, or air conditioner (ie the only 3 std options available were left off) ... but it did come did come with the upgraded 454 engine (it was a special order item). Gee, what was the intent of our original owner, and why did he love his rig so much? Power to weight, baby, power to weight. LOL
Believe it or not, he made it 5 years without A/C, but finally broke down on a trip to FL

Last, but not least, the '91 should have a swiveling captain's chair on the passenger side. You might be surprised how useful this seat is, but it's key - it's one of the first things we set up when we arrive.
The swiveling seats were eliminated over time due to airbag restrictions,
You can still install a swivel base in certain models.  We did so on our '06TK, which has nothing behind the passenger seat to block it.  The swivel base is available online and the install should be within anyone's capabilities since I managed it.  This makes a separate "lounge" area for one and is perfect for reading in the late afternoon when the light through the windshield is still bright, but is too dim back in the rear with the tinted windows.  -- Jon ('06TK "Albatross")
(Former) ‘06 TK “Albatross.” And (former) Vespa 250.   Alas, no more; both are gone.😕 Great memories remain! 😄
