Besides the LD Manual, are there other Repair/Maintenance Manuals you suggest we purchase?  I have Trailer Life (Livingston)Repair & Maintenance Manual already.  My weak skills are definitely anything electrical (I can run a company but I can't follow some of the technical electrical discussions here, though am getting a bit smarter!).

Thanks,

Bill

I recommend Managing 12volts:, by Harold Barre. While not really very technical, it provides an excellent basic knowledge of RV electrical needs. You can pick it up at CW or order it from Amazon  per the above link..

Bill, when we bought our '02 LD almost 11 yrs ago, I knew nothing about RVs and certainly nothing about their repair and upkeep. I was concerned about how I would handle things that went wrong. Well, fortunately (knock on wood), I've had almost nothing go wrong with the LD and very few things wrong with its mechanical/electrical systems that weren't simples fixes. With this forum and its covey of trained engineers and experienced shade tree mechanics, almost any question can be answered or at least troubleshot. Couple these generous folks with The Lazy Daze Companion, Andy's Eureka, Google, the search function on this site and a plethora of other RV repair sites and one really doesn't need to buy a thing for support. I bought a couple of books - Livingston's being one of them, and have never opened them. Google is especially useful. Simply type in your question, e.g., "flame on Atwood RV water heater cycles on and off" and invariably there is someone somewhere who has posted about that problem. You get the drift. So, my suggestion is to save your $ and use the foregoing sources when you need them.
