Kwikee Level Best 2000 accidental deployment March 20, 2013, 05:17:30 am Yahoo Message Number: 137555Hi LUTZ. I have a '99 TKB and I had this almost happen near Moab Utah about 2003. Water spray from wet roads was getting in to the logic circuit board through the connector where the wire to the remote control panel plugs in. As soon as it dried out, operation returned to normal, i.e. the control panel lights stopped randomly blinking, and beeping. I never experienced moving levelers or pump activation. Guess I was lucky. I covered the connectors with acrylic latex caulk, and I've had no problems of that type in the ten years since. I do have an intermittent leak of a teaspoonful or so of fluid, only when the pump is running. I've tightened all the fittings and the 'stems' of the solenoid valves. I have a new camera that I'm going to use to find out where the leak is. RonB and 'Bluebelle' a '99 TKB.[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Visual inspection with the right lighting is a very powerful test technique. I use the old fashioned way of isolating leaks in pressurized fluid systems by taping pieces of paper towel to the suspected leak area and then see which ones got wet after a brief pressurization. For peace of mind, a positive way to prevent inadvertent leveler deployment would be to simply wire in an inline ON/OFF toggle switch in the 12 Volt line leading to the pump motor. No power to the pump = no leveler deployment. Of course for convenience the switch should be mounted in the cab. Then when you are ready to deploy your levelers just flick the switch to ON.
