Introduction and tank monitors
Yahoo Message Number: 136825
Greetings!
We're Charlie and Linda, and we joined the world of Lazy Daze owners in December of 2012. We have a 1999 26.5 mid-bath (like Andy Baird's) named Gandalf the Grey, with the sofa on one side in the rear, and barrel chairs and pedestal desk on the other, which serves as Linda's office. We are living and working on the road. We prefer boondocking and have the solar resources to support that option.
On to tank monitors... Today I finished the installation of See Level II tank monitors.
Andy's instructions were immensely helpful! I probably wouldn't have thought of running the wires through the black tank vent pipe, but it did the trick. I also took advantage of the opportunity and ran my exterior thermometer wire at the same time. Getting through the floor turned out to be easier than what Andy described on his site. I was able to take advantage of a piece of black flex tubing that goes through my floor under the sink, so I didn't have to use the coat hanger to punch a hole in the sealant.
After years of RVing with idiot light monitors the See Level II is amazing. I find myself wanting to push the buttons over and over just to see my tank levels light up…
