Quartzsite 2013. Afterwards

The 2013 Quartzsite FunFest is now over.  Pretty much a month of great friends, great food, great campfires, great shopping and a lot of great experiences.  Probably 30 LD's in assorted floorplans and years, (one two weeks old and a couple around 20 years or so) that either came and went, camped short term or stayed the whole month.  We met new friends and old friends.  We learned a lot from each other.  Some were old timers, full timers and some were first timers.  All left with some new ideas and plans for the future.  This is dry camping to the max.  We learned about tank management and electricity management and some great recipes.  Many decided that dry camping is the greatest but you need adequate solar to make it the best.  The LazyDaze is very well suited for dry camping.  If you haven't tried it, Q is a great place to get your feet wet. (or should I say dry?) There will probably be a Q 2014.

This was a great event and I would encourage those that can make it next year to give it a try. BTW if you have a 4WD Toad lots of interesting off-road trails to explore. At the end of Jan. when the crowds leave off-road exploring much easier.

Quartzsite, AZ. for a few...
