I have a pla-cool model 800 evaporative air conditioner on my '91 261/2' RB. Can someone tell me how the water is pumped from the water tank to the roof unit? Is there a pump at the tank too, or just the pump in the roof unit? Also, I was wondering if replacement pumps are available? Thanks. Dale from Downey.

There is no pump other than your regular water pump, which must stay switched on. There will also be a shutoff valve somewhere - perhaps under the kitchen sink - which must be opened up for water to go to the roof unit.

On my '92 RB there was a valve under the kitchen sink. Yes there is another pump in the roof unit that pumps the water over the filter keeping it wet. The house pump keeps the reservoir filled.

I want to thank Regan, Jerry, chorst_2000 and Victor Sanchez for replying to my need for help with my Play-cool unit. I did what you suggested and it is now functioning well. Mainly, I didn't realize the house pump needed to be on and a major cleaning were the problems. Thanks.
