My wife and I just purchased a new-to- -us 2007 IB30 from a group member (Mike).
This is the culmination of many months of study, planning, and searching.  We think the hunt has been as exciting as now actually being owners.
I am still on the road with the rig, returning to Arizona from Montana, struggling through a very wide-spread winter storm here in the West.  Getting ready to leave Cedar City, UT today with hopes of being home this evening.
This rig has handled very well in some of the toughest driving conditions I have experienced I my life.
Retirement starts in August and we are looking forward to life in our LD.
This group and its members have been an invaluable resource to us during our search and we want to express our thanks.  The very for sale notice that lead us to our new rid was posted here.

All the best, Dan and Lynn
PS - no name for the rig yet.  Exterior colors are the same as Andy's Skylark.

Dan & Lynn:   We have a 2008 31' IB which replaced a 2002 30' IB.  We went to this floorplan after several extended trips making up a bed every night and taking it down in the morning!   Having the permanent bed has been wonderful.   My reason for writing to you is to mention power levelers.   If you don't have them on your rig we believe they have been very useful on the 30' and 31' rigs and well worth their cost.  We have had HWH levelers on both rigs and they have performed extremely well.  The only time we had a problem with one of them we happened to be on I80 headed east and stopped at their factory in Iowa and they made the repairs without cost.  You will find LDers also using Bigfoot levelers and the reports on them are good.   I can only recommend HWH because of our success.   We also have installed and used a TracVision satellite system with Direct TV with good results.   Enjoy your new home on wheels.     Gale

Congratulations Dan and Lynn, on the new LD and retirement. I remember driving our, new to us, 1999 30IB, " Dazy Mae", home to California from Texas in some serious weather conditions. She handled so well. Buying a Lazy Daze is a great decision and this group is an awesome resource.

Dan and Lynn, congratulations.  I hope you will be as happy as can be with your choice.  I know I have been with mine.

Gale,
Many thanks for this information.  Levelers are under consideration as we move forward into the learning curve.
The ready-bed was Lynn's request for the same reason as your decision.  Having looked at them all, I agreed and the search for an IB was started.
This beauty came with a low profile RaySat in-motion DSS system, installed at the Mothership.

Dan:  Our LD also came with the DSS satellite system and it does work OK.   We just found that the TrakVision system worked better and much easier by only having to push a button and sit back to watch TV.  Guess we're just a little bit lazy.   You might check Andy Bairds Eureka site for loads of info on everything LD including his recommendations for the best leveling blocks to use.   Enjoy,  Gale

"Levelers are under consideration"
In making your decision, bear in mind that levelers will subtract a couple hundred pounds from the 30' rig's already-minimal cargo carrying capacity (750 pounds for your year and model, as I recall). There's no question that they are convenient, but if they will put your rig over the safe weight limits, they may be a luxury you'll be better off doing without.

Good advice, Andy.
The rig came with a bag of "Ramble" interlocking leveling pads and I think we'll probably just experiment with leveling that way for a while.

We really enjoy your "Travels" web site.
