Anyone have a recommendation for the smaller or more off the beaten path campgrounds which happen to have Verizon service?  Dry camping w/out hookups is fine.

Cell phone service in Yellowstone NP is almost non-existent. Driving two miles east from Fishing Bridge will get you a couple of bars. I can only guess that the NPS is very restrictive about having cell towers blemish the natural beauty.

We like Slough Creek at the west end of the Lamar Valley.  A little sleuthing with Google turns up reports of Verizon cell service, including data.

Not off the beaten path, but we did have good Verizon cell service at Bakers Hole Campground outside the west entrance of Yellowstone, so any of the RV parks in West Yellowstone should also have good cell service.
Cell service within the park is hit and miss.  There are some places within the park where there is service, but I couldn't tell you exactly where because I didn't pay that much attention.  We went there with another couple and found that we could often send text messages even when we couldn't make a voice call.
