It is a beautiful place, there is one element that dissuaded us from boo docking ing that area. During the season there are many hikers, some with dogs most carrying hand guns. Just not a place where we felt completely comfortable being alone. I remember one trail that was so well worn it ran 12 to 18 inches below the rest of the land.

And in contrast, I feel most comfortable in that situation. I posses a concealed carry permit from Utah which is legal in Wyoming. Society is safer when criminals don't know who's armed.

Perhaps this will shed some light on the topic;

Please, my fellow Americans.

There are numerous places to discuss this sensitive topic.   I pray you-all let's not do it here.

I was responding to a post made by Greg...ge.montana!
I was expressing my rights under our Constitution and local state law.
I will NOT duck and cover and pretend the situation does not exist (as many of you will).
I will NOT stick my head in the sand and imagine that the problem does not involve me.

I will NOT shirk my responsibility as a U.S. Citizen.
On more than one occasion I have been prepared to defend the lives and security of the Lazy Daze folks that I've camped with and I'll do it again without hesitation. Were you aware of that?
So, in my opinion, the relevancy of this topic belongs where ever it needs to see the light of day.

Oh boy! Time to get the pop corn, pull up a chair and enjoy the show.
Religion and politics have never been good topics here on what is primarily an Lazy Daze site.  Guns are a hot topic now and with emotions running hugh, it's best the topic be dropped or it will disappear. There are plenty of sites where this topic can be discused...just not here.

I know I support strong gun control laws and do not trust those who feel the need to carry one. Concealed or not.

Folks no one on this group is telling you what your rights in the U.S should or should not be but what they are saying is that discussing religion and politics only leads to harsh words and hard feelings.
If you need to express yourself there are loads of other places online where people want to kill each other because of their opinions.
Unlike many other sites what I have always appreciated here is that for the most part we get along and that is pretty rare in my experience.

I will assume all members of this group are good honorable citizens.  We all believe in freedom.  Many of us have fought for those freedoms in various wars.   We each have a right to hold person beliefs without name calling and personal insults.
But this is a forum for Lazy Daze owners to share and discuss the use and enjoyment of that motor home.   There  are many other places this issue can and is discussed.  This is not the place.
And please don't assume you know how I feel about guns or religion.  You have no idea since I have not stated my belief.

Neither the Constitution nor any state laws protect one's right to express whatever you wish on THIS group. If moderators feel you are a cause of dissension and discord, they can censure, delete, or ban as they see fit. Just so you know...

Please lets not ruin this forum by bringing politics into it. This is an argument that cannot be won.

Amen, Glen. Thanks for saying that on behalf of the "silent majority" lurking around here.

Whooeeee! The paranoia is rife on the forum today.
To Glen and others who have responded I ask you, is this thread about traveling in your Lazy Daze through the state of Wyoming and it's two major and very beautiful National Parks???
I had presumed it so when I came upon the post made by Glen to whom I felt the need to respond. My response was neither Religious nor was it Political. It was merely an expression of my feelings vs that of Glen whom I perceived to have some anxiety at the sight of a person carrying a gun. If you like you can review my post #136429 and see for yourself.
In furtherance of clarification of what's legal and what's not I direct you to the following link:
 http://www.nps.gov/yell/parkmgmt/lawsandpolicies.htm

So, not only can one possess a 'legaly owned' firearm in the state of Wyoming as a whole but also within the National Parks themselves.
And that concludes my part of this discussion. Enjoy your travels, I do.

How about Kaepernick? I'm probably one of the few people who actually watched him play against Chicago in that Monday night game. When I found out both Smith & Cutler were out, I wasn't even going to bother.
However, we were out of town and had just finished dinner, so I really had nothing better to do. Sure enough, within 10 minutes, I'm on the 'Net trying to figure out who this guy was as he was literally lighting Chicago's D on fire.

The rest, as they say, is history.
