Wal mart "Pelonis" heater
Yahoo Message Number: 135132
Hello all, Wal Mart has a 3 level, low cost ($16) electric heater with a quiet fan and a low setting of about 600 watts. Pelonis has branded it with their name, which doesn't mean much.
The low setting is good, just heats quietly enough to keep up with mild winter days. The low power setting is low enough that the heater can be used to provide a load for exercising a 1000 watt Honda or Yamaha generator.
Also, I'm able to run one of the more common, 1000 watt plus heaters along with the "Pelonis" on the low settings, without tripping the 15 amp breaker.

I've tried a lot of heaters in my time, but those $15 Pelonis cheapies are my absolute favorites, regardless of price. As Terry said, they are quiet, and the 600/900/1,500 watt settings make it easy to run two at once on the same circuit. Two heaters on 600 W each at opposite ends of the coach do a much better job than one heater on 1,500 W in the middle.
Another plus: these have an open-coil design that makes them much less likely to accumulate dust and animal fur, and much easier to clean when they do, than the expensive ceramic heaters... yet they are just as efficient heat producers. Highly recommended!
