From one of the links you posted: The Snowy Range Scenic Byway drives through the heart of the Medicine Bow National Forest and is peppered with crystal blue lakes and jagged gray granite peaks. Perhaps more like the upper western slopes of the Sierra Nevada.We wanted to camp at one of the FS CG's there which is above 10,000 feet. The highest designated FS CG I know of.
