Or, the gauge can be calibrated for you if you know the sensor characteristics. Note that with ours, the gauge readout does not correspond well with the mechanical gauge on the tank. Our install is still too recent for me to figure out which reading is more accurate. However, either method beats the vent-hood idiot lights.Steve

Fill the LPG tank by using an alternate measurement method, such as weight, a spit valve, or a mechanical gauge on the tank. • To calibrate, press and hold down the LPG button, the display will show some LPG level. • While continuing to hold down the LPG button, press and hold down the BATT button. Continue to hold down both buttons for about 5 seconds until the display shows "LPG". • When this occurs release both buttons, the display will show "CAL" for a second and then shut off, completing the calibration procedure. • The LPG can be recalibrated as many times as desired, although recalibration should not be needed unless the LPG tank sender or the display has been replaced.--------- Basically, it's saying to the Seelevel panel that the voltage from the LPG tank you see now represents a full tank, i.e. 100%.Alex Rutchka, SE #4 '05 MB

Now the the agreement between the LED panel, tank gauge and SeeLevel is really iffy. They change all the time and never agree. The problem seems to be with float/sensor inside the propane tank. It moves when the RV moves. It also appears to change according to the ambient temperature, expanding as it gets warmer. Maybe its magic. One would think it being the same design as a car's fuel gauge, it would be as accurate but it isn't. I pay attention to the SeeLevel and mostly ignore the tank's gauge and the LEDs. The electrical part of the fuel sender seems to be more accurate. I was happy to install a extra 3-gallon auxiliary tank, no more worry about the guess reading of the main tank.Larry

The water tank is usually the tallest. A 12" strip fits all I have looked at. The black and gray tanks are shorter. If you can, measure the height of your LD's water tank to confirm.Larry

I thought I'd need another sensor, the instructions cover how this is done. When I called See Level to order, they told me just to mount the 12" sensor about an inch from the bottom of the tank. It registers 100% until it reaches about half when it goes to 90%. From there we just do the math. We have never run out of water or had any problem. A new sensor at the time cost $62.
