Unexpected Benefit

Thanks again to whomever posted the tip about rotating the windshield rearview mirror 180 degrees.  I tried it in my '06TK, with a pleasant surprise.  I have one of those plastic fresnel lenses stuck to my rear window and haven't been satisfied with it almost from the day I installed it.  It always seemed to be reflecting light in such a way that it was near useless for seeing anything.  But when I did the rotation of the mirror it was like night and day.  All of a suddent the view through the lens was clear!  I tried it with all different sun directions while driving around today, and it was clearer in all situations.  I assume (without any knowledge whatsoever of optical physics) that the light reflecting angle changed just enough that the characteristics of this particular lens worked better.  Would it work for a taller/shorter driver?  Dunno.  All I know is that it sure is a lot better back there!  -- Jon ('06TK "Albatross")
