Free entrance to national parks April 14, 2012, 06:12:56 pm Yahoo Message Number: 129846More than 100 US national parks will be free between April 21 and 29 during National Park Week. Depending on your point of view, this either means a time to go camping for free... or a time to avoid the parks because they'll be extra crowded.Just thought you'd like to know. :-) http://www.nps.gov/findapark/feefreeparks.htmAndy Baird http://www.andybaird.com/travels/

A reminder: Those who qualify might want to look into getting a "Senior" or "Access" pass; requirements for passes are explained here: http://www.nps.gov/findapark/passes.htmLike many others, I've had a "Senior Pass" for several years; it has saved me hundreds of dollars in entry and camping fees at federally-operated facilities all over the country! ;-)Joan

You're right, Joan--it says so right on that page i linked to. Duh! I jumped to a wrong conclusion there. Just the same, I'll be staying away from national parks that week... even though I do have a "Golden Geezer" pass now. :-)Andy Baird http://www.andybaird.com/travels/
