Refrigerator power usage- something to check

Recently, at the Yahoo West GTG, our LD battery was down 200 amp/hours by the end of of 5 nights, much more than what I would expected, even with the shady conditions.
 A couple of nights ago, I was measuring the amperage draw for various lights and appliances in our LD. When I turned on the refrigerator, I was surprised to see it using 1.6-amps, over 1-amp more than its usual .5-amps usage.
Checking the refrigerator, I found both the Climate Control and Low Ambient switches in the 'on' positions. The are located where I cannot normally see see them. Who knows how long they have been on? The constant extra 1.1 amp draw adds 26 amp/hours of usage per day and would, over five nights, adding an extra 130 amp/hours to our consumption.
 This explained why we used so much power. It is something I suspect most LD owners do not often check. Make sure your refrigerator's 'extra' switches are turned off when not needed.
I have now taped the switches in the 'off' position to prevent future problems.

Thanks for that reminder and the photos, Larry! I zipped right out to the rig to check for "depressed circles"! ;-) They were.
