Rain leaking in through air-conditioner

This group has been so helpful in so many ways that we want to ask your advice on what to do about rain water leaking in through our air-conditioner. We just had five days of rain in norther California, and so far we have not been able to locate the exact source of the leak. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! We're in a 1999 TK Lazy Daze, and will be traveling to OR in a couple weeks, so want to get this fixed as soon as possible.

Quick suggestions:

1. Remove the lower shroud (the part that hangs from the ceiling) and tighten up the mounting bolts thus revealed.

2. If that doesn't work, cover the roof-mounted shroud with your spare shower curtain (always carry a spare!) and tape in place with duct tape or Gorilla tape.

Others will no doubt have better ideas. :-)

Last year we had a drip from the air-conditioner after heavy rain.  I took off the inside shroud and tightened up the mounting bolts.  That seems to have fixed that leak.  Several years ago we had a leak due to a crack
