Cracked fuel line ??

Enlightenment on this problem .... Please?

The small section going into the generator (pictures at given link) is easy to check and fix.  But several folks on this list have had the hose that connects to the fuel pick-up line at the top of the fuel tank crack and start leaking air.  Eventually this causes to generator to fail to run.  To fix that usually requires the fuel tank to be dropped.  A few people have done other work arounds.
