New transmission
Yahoo Message Number: 128680
Iposted a couple of weeks ago about my transmission going out in my 2001 MB.  Nancy M from this site e-mailed me about Tustin transmission in Tustin where she has all her work done.  I called them and they said a Ford factory rebuilt would cost aoubt 3,500. but they also had to replace the cooler and installed a transmission oil temp sensor.  The total was a little over 4,000.  The cooler had to be replaced to get the 3yr unlimited mileage Ford nationwide warranty.  I don't know if this was a good price or not but I was happy with the service and the warranty is especially worthwhile when traveling. It's great to get a recommondation from members of this group have a place the like and recomend.
I also have AAA plus RV roadside service and they had my rig towed some 70 miles to the shop at no charge.  The operator they sent was Valley towing from Anza CA and I was ipressed with their operators professionallism and expertise.  (No questioning about disconnecting the drive shaft which took him a while due to the rusted bolts.

Thanks to all who responded.
