No longer a "want to be"

Wow! Enjoying the rv.  Will post more when I get home.  2 nights in Joshua tree NP, last  ight in Tucson.  Just gassed up at costco and heading for NM.  The rv is great in the two ties (winding roads) and cross winds.  The first owner had a steer safe unit installed.  I've been driving the interstates 5mph below the speed limit.  First tank of gas averaged 10.99 mpg, second tank a little over 9.

Thanks everyone John in a green mid bath heading home

Happy trails to you in your LD.  You won't find a Rig easier to drive.  Personally, I don't worry too much about mileage after 3 years of ownership.  It is what it is.  We tow, drive the speed limit, and enjoy the ride.

the trip was way to short.  Would have liked to spend more time at many locations and visit more.  That will come.  I would like to say thanks to the previous owner, Fred Sandoval, who answered all my questions, took pictures and much of any thing else I asked before I took the trip out.  Once there we went through the checkout list that the original owner went through at the factory.  Fred made sure I could operate all the systems and knew where everything was.  Then he took me to the factory where I was able to look at the new units in the show room and pick up some items.  While we were out his lovely wife went to the grocery store and stocked the shelves with enough food so I would not have to venture into a grocery store parking lot.
This Mid Bath was originally purchased by the Pearsons'.  Except for solar power (added by Fred) and a backup camera, Mr. Pearsons optioned the RV just as I would have.  Even the color!
Most of the time I cooked in the RV but there were two places that I would go to if I were back in the general area. Both had great food at a very reasonable price.
..."Los Jarritos" in Pomona, CA ..."Clention BBQ" of Gray, GA.

The drive was a joy.  Pictures can be seen here: http://dac.smugmug.com/Camping/The-Drive-Home/21398918_8rv42r#!i=1704952496&k=bKPfFGT

Hi John,
Congratulations! You are going to love your new rig and the adventures you experience! What a way to travel. Glad to see another LD living east of the Mississippi River.
Thanks for sharing your photos too. That old RV, kind of looks homemade, is interesting.

Good luck, Steve K.

Pictures are very nice.  Glad u r enjoying your LD. We just bought a 95 LD 22 ft RB on a 454 and love it.  I am back in Australia for a few months but plan do do some driving when we return. Also want to attend an LD rally.  Hope to meet many of you.  I bought a new 96 LD from ED in 96 but sold it in 98 to my regret.  Glad we r back! Regards, Hank Hannigan & Naty
