LD model height February 02, 2012, 10:40:48 am Yahoo Message Number: 128283Hi everyone. LD newbie here reading a lot of informative posts and interesting blogs (esp Andy Bairds..the wife has spent more time w/ his journals than me lately). We are considering purchasing a used LD IB in the near future and our main concern is the height of older models. Due to the entrance door, the unit needs to be under 10'6". Would anyone out there know what models would not fit that criteria?

Would anyone out there know what models would not fit that criteria? Bill? Go to the LD site and click on the specs link and go to dimensions and you will find the info. I believe all are under 10' 6".Chris
Re: LD model height Reply #2 – February 02, 2012, 04:32:33 pm Yahoo Message Number: 128291The corp. site will only give the specs on the new models, if you want to check older units, go to the Technoz group files section there you'll find many older tech sheets. Don't know how many have hts listed though. Typing this on the phone so don't know how to trim it....Dave W

The specs for the current models are similar, but note that the figures listed *include* the AC. (Curiously, the 24" is the tallest of the models at 10'3"; the 27' is 10'1", and the 31 is 10'2".) Perhaps owners of other model years still have the original spec sheet and can offer additonal information.Joan

I don't notice this on the short Chevy's. This could account for the height differential.John '04 23.5FL
Re: LD model height Reply #5 – February 02, 2012, 09:02:22 pm Yahoo Message Number: 128302Thank's to everyone who responded on our model height inquiry. Looks like every model and year will meet our low profile needs. Now all we have to decide is which floor plan will work best for our life/sleeping style. Will there be a LD rally in the midwest or great lakes area in the near future?
Re: LD model height Reply #6 – February 02, 2012, 09:51:25 pm Yahoo Message Number: 128303The 1995 spec sheet gives heights of 109" or 110" depending on model, and says these are "Exterior height ground to roof line (add 10" to 12" for 120V air [conditioner] which is standard on all models)." So the worst case would be 122", or 10' 2".Andy Baird http://www.andybaird.com/travels/
