Need Help: wiring problem
Yahoo Message Number: 128237
Hi folks.
This is one of those "sorry to bother you" type things, but I have a question about wiring the lights to the toad.
Set up is this: I wired the Roadmaster brand separate bulb wiring kit to the CRV. Basically this is just 4 wires run to the supplied bulbs (not the ones that are native to the car) and plugged into the 4 prong connector on the back of the LD.
Problem is: it worked fine until I started the LD and began towing. Then I (eventually) found the "towing" fuses mounted under the hood of the LD were blown. One possible complicating factor is I also have a US Gear braking system installed on the CRV. When I tested the setup, I did so with only the lights connected. Today, with everything connected, the fuses blew.  As part of the light wiring, the instructions suggest grounding the white (ground) wire to the chassis; I grounded to the battery negative terminal. One question would be should I have grounded the white wire?

Suggestions on what to look for?

Thanks.
