The canvas is stowed just fine.Today I notice that the cover latch does not quite close when fully wound in. It remains a small fraction of an inch from latch. The red pop-tabs stay out when I stop cranking. I find that if I apply torque to the wind knob, it closes. But when I release the torque the cover reopens 1/4 inch or so.There is probably some adjustment? I'd like to hear advice.John

I'd like to hear advice.John John, the awning on our '02 30' has done the same thing for 6 years and I finally just stopped worrying about it. I have tried opening it full length in hot sun to get it to roll up tighter, but that didn't help. Even tho it's not locked, it won't go any place but I'd like to find a fix too.Chris

We've used it almost from the start. It's quite thin and slips between the awning box and the rig with no problem and holds tight when the awning isn't deployed . Or...do you mean the Velcro is between the front of the awning box and the metal edge on the front of the awning so the edge adheres to the box when it's closed?Chris

I've seen this method used on a few LDs that suffer "awning front edge creep".Joan

The what usually happens is the awning gets stretched and one side is slightly longer than the other side. When rolled up, the longer side does not pull in all the way. Starting in 2004-2205, the awnings have a red adjuster, located at one end of the big roller, that slightly increases or decrease the diameter of the roller. If the loose side is also on the aide of the adjuster, twist it to increase the diameter. This will pull the awning in at little faster rate on that side, letting both side close evenly and tight. Decrease the diameter if the adjuster is at the tight end. Our 2003 LD's awning did the same thing but it does not have the adjuster. I rolled the awning all the way out. On the loose side, I applied a short piece of duct tape, on the edge of the awning, starting at the end where the awning attaches to the roller. This thickens the awning as it rolls up, increases the diameter, and causes that side to roll at little faster rate. It takes a bit of experimentation to determine the proper length of the added tape.Larry

Actually, I have done the same thing (as Kate did) with mine.Chris
