Extending manual Step on older '85 LD November 15, 2011, 10:21:56 am Yahoo Message Number: 126632Hi all.. So I never bothered to extend the step into the new-to-us LD until this weekend -- it's got a lever on the left side that seems to move easy enough but the step doesn't easily retract.. Perhaps it's just an issue of grease -- probably. In any event, is it just a matter of squeezing the level and giving it a yank towards you (to the curb) or is there some sort of upward/downward motion as well? Unfortunately I've not had the time to crawl underneath to see how it's setup under there.. Since we're hoping to take it out next week, I thought I might want to find out how to operate it prior to departure..Thanks!-- Rick

I drug mine against a curb and had a fair amount of straightening and adjustment to do before I could get it down again. I hope yours only needs grease GP Registered Antique LD Driver__[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
